Well after many days of begging (and Emily wanted it up also), we finally got the tree up. We always go with a live one. I just love the smell and feel of a real tree...which do you prefer?

Sometimes I absolutely love technology! Emily plays with my iPhone and iPad and has so much fun with them that she doesn't even realize how much she is learning. She is getting pretty good at spelling simple words as well as adding and subtracting.

Slowing Down

We have a been super busy as of late but we are slowly settling in and slowing down. I am currently student teaching and loving every minute of it. The only problem is that I enjoy it so much I dread going into my actual work every afternoon when school is out. I started with fourth grade and was really nervous but my cooperating teacher was AMAZING and the students were fabulous! I am now with second grade and enjoying it as well. I was working from 3-7 every night and on the weekends as well so that I wouldn't have to ever go without a full paycheck but I made someone upstairs mad so they cut me down to 3 hours, four nights a week and no weekends. So that means I am only making enough to keep health insurance for the kids and me and nothing else. I had to take out a student loan but in the end it has worked in my favor. I am not as stressed and I don't have to spend so much time in a place that I actually hate going to every day. I even have had wonderful weekends with my family and friends.
