Wordless Wednesday:Sittin And Chillin

Emily got this new Princess couch from "Santa" and she just loves this thing!!  She unfolds and folds it back and forth over and over.  The other day she disappeared for a few minutes and then came back with this yellow plush block.  She placed it on the floor in front of the couch and then proceeded to sit on the couch and put her feet up on the block. LOL  Where does she come up with these things?!!

It always amazes me to look back on these pictures!!

Christmas Dance Party

One Christmas Day we headed out to Nona and Granddad's house for a good lunch. I am not sure I have told you guys but my Dad is a super duper musician. He can play any and every instrument and has almost every kind of instrument. We let Emily play with the lap dulcimer...

As well as the hammer dulcimer.
Then Granddad broke out the big guns and we had a impromptu Christmas dance party!!

My baby loves to DANCE!!

Christmas 2009

Christmas was so much fun this year!! As usual the gang came over for Christmas Eve breakfast/dinner. It is a tradition in our house to have breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve...that way there is always something to eat first thing in the morning! LOL Etta was then designated to be our gift passer outer.

Emily cleaned house on presents. It just took her FOREVER to get them opened. She would rip a piece off and hand it to you and keep doing that until she got it opened.

Chris and Shea didn't do to shabby either...but they are better present openers.

This in one of the presents for Nona and Granddad. I especially like the socks!

One of the best parts is finding what has been hidden in your stocking!

Emily got some good books and a Tinker Bell coloring book as well.

Say CHEESE!!!

One of Emily's favorites of the night was her new princess couch...

When Nona tried to share it with her Em tried to push her off....

But when that didn't work she settled in laughing and drawing on her new doodle.

Christmas morning was a hoot! She didn't exactly react overwhelmingly but it was still so cute to watch. She sure did clean up!

After checking out all of her loot she settled in to eat pancakes and watch her new UP movie.

And also decided to get a little laptop action in.

After all the fun was had and all the toys played with we then headed off to Nona and Granddad's house for Christmas Day Lunch...YUM!

Funky Funky Christmas

I have just been thrown back into the early 90's...When I was younger my older sister was completely obsessed with New Kids On The Block. While listening to Christmas music on Rhapsody I have been taken right back to when I was about 12 and they came out with their Christmas album. I could not believe that I still remembered the lyrics to this song after all of these years but I guess when you are forced to listen to something about a million times then it kinda sticks in your brain. So for your viewing pleasure I give you NKOTB singing Funky Funky Christmas:

Wordless Wednesday: Farm Girl

We are having baby lambs right now so we went to the barn to check on how everything was going. The cows look good....The horses are fat and happy...
And the lambs are bouncing all over the place! The picture quality stinks because I have lost misplaced my camera and was using my phone to take the pictures.

O.K. so it isn't wordless...oh well, sometimes you can't help it! ;0)

Take Me Back Tuesday: Hello Santa

This picture is not so far back...o.k. it is only from last year but for real the child has changed so much it is hard to tell that it is really her. We didn't get a picture with Santa this year. For some reason the kid is completely terrified of him. I tried to explain that he is a nice man that brings toys to good kids but she isn't having any of it. ;0) So I am stuck just looking back at this picture, remembering when my child at least tolerated Santa Clause.

Music Monday: All About Christmas

Alternative Name

O.K. folks, as you all well know it is almost Christmas so I am going to share with you one of my most favorite Christmas songs.  I have always loved Dolly Parton...she is my hero!  I have also recently found out that she is Emily's as well.  Emily loves all of her songs and gets so excited and dances with everyone of them.  On our way home from Ohio this Saturday we were playing music trying to keep her awake so she would sleep when we got home and this particular song came on.  Boy oh boy you would have thought she had been hit by a hot shot!!  She clapped, laughed, danced and sang along...she absolutely loved it!  I wish I had brought my camera cuz that sure would have been a post unto itself! ;0)  Without further ado I give you Dolly Parton with Christmas Time's A Comin'

Come join up with Tara at Keeping Up With The Kelly's and let us know what your favorite Christmas song is!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

This weekend was another full one where we didn't get to sack out at the house and just chill. Hopefully there will be a weekend like that very soon. But for this weekend we headed up to Ohio to do Christmas with Hank's family. Saturday morning when we were getting ready to head out we discovered a nice fresh snowfall! Wasn't a whole lot but Emily and I thought it was really pretty. Well anyhoo, after making sure we would be able to get to his parent's house, they live in the middle of nowhere, we headed off. Once we got up there we were excited to find 2-3 inches of snow. This is Emily's first snow that she was actually able to play in so we bundled up and got down to business! ;0) Emily liked the snow falling but was a little hesitant to get down and play. After walking a bit....

And a little fun with Daddy...

Like catching snowflakes on their tongues...

She figured it was time to get down and get in that snow!

She had a great time and even made a snowman!
